You Don't Know Jacques - But I Do.

So I completely wussed out this weekend.

My original plan involved me and a MAC artist who would recruit me into the Cult of Cherry with her mad hatter palette of absinthe-green, metallic red and chocolate brown. But alas it was not to be. As expected I played it safe with a mani/pedi featuring “You Don’t Know Jacques!” and “Midnight in Moscow” both by O.P.I..

Score another one for the R & D team over there – remember how I raved about Parlez Vous OPI? Well, I’m positively mad about Jacques…even my husband (unprompted mind you) commented on what a lovely shade of “purpley-brown” it was.

Yeah, when was the last time some guy complemented you on your nail polish?!

It really is a gorgeous shade, and like Parlez Vous, different on me than in the bottle. I was expecting something far more in the taupe family but ended up with raisin. And that’s fine by me.

"Midnight," garnered many "oohs and ahhs" in the salon and is equally alluring. It's a very deep inky red. In the bottle it appears more shimmery than it does on my toes but I’m loving it just the same:

Please excuse the bad pic (note to self: I should really vacuum BEFORE taking pix for the whole world to see) and yes, those are the knockoff Dior glads that I told you about here.

Do you like them? Tell the truth, you won’t hurt my feelings!

oh my, so fab! i always know it's a good polish color when even the hubs notices.

the gladiators are gorge, by the way - love the grey!

guess it's time to break out the fall colors after all!

i think those gladiators are AMAZING in that color and i must say, my boyfriend has NEVER commented on a nail polish so bravo :)

great shoes and nailcolor! I want some - and whenever I take pictures at home I'm always wishing i'd vacuumed/cleaned!

I tried out the Cult of Cherry "Illegal Purple" polish this weekend. (Did my own mani, though, so it's kind of sloppy.) And actually, it looks a lot like the color you're wearing on your toes—more deep, black cherry than purple.

The nail color is great too...I love nontraditional neutrals on nails (hey, I'm so alliterative)!

Love the shoes and the nails lots and lots!

I'm always mortified to discover bits of gunge on the floor when I take a photo of my shoes, that's why I always do them outside now - don't need the world seeing my lax vacuuming habits!

Cool shoes. You must be really good at polishing nails. They look so neat. I know how hard it is to get it all clean around cuticle etc.. I can never get it perfectly...
