Tory Burch: Spring 2009

I love Tory Burch but I was beginning to get a little worried that her designs were looking a wee bit tired.

Sure her clothing is highly wearable, flattering, and age appropriate for me but I couldn't help but feel that twinge...was I playing it too safe? After viewing her Spring 2009 collection I'm happy to say my faith is restored.

I love that the collection is classic without being stuffy. Even more impressive? Leave it to Tory to change my mind about harem pants. I love it, love it, love these:

SO glad you wrote this collection up! the thing that amazes me consistently about tory is that none of the elements are pieces i'd consider wearing...but she puts them together, and it's just perfect. seriously...harem pants, ankle-length trousers, sequins...but somehow, it just works when she does it.

This is a really subtly unique collection. The silhouettes aren't wild or crazy -- they're still flattering -- but they're also not typical. Looks like Tory's found her footing!
