Help Me Decide: Fit Flops - Hot or Not?

I've noticed quite a few ladies around the city sporting these funny looking flip flops which purportedly help tone your legs with regular wear. I haven't tried them but this just reeks marketing gimmick to me.

Then I saw the latest addition to the Fit Flop empire and I can't decide. Part of me thinks there is something edgy about them -- I imagine some Chloe Sevigny type who would never be my friend in a million years rocking them and looking like the epitome of subversive cool; and the other part of me thinks, behold the winning entry in the fugliest shoe of the year contest.

What do you think, hot or not?

oh, not...not...not. sorry, but in my world, flats (and flipflops) have to be small and dainty, or your feet just don't look right.

but that's just one shoe whore's opinion ;)

Well, if they're comfy why not go for it-at the end of the day, this is most important really!!

I'm a little torn, but they look too neanderthal to me - I don't know why. But it's a good effort!

I'm in the NOT category for flip-flops of any variety.

Hi Tony - Here's what www.thefitflop.com says that's available at Kirna Zabete in Manhattan and Net-A-Porter.com

Thanks.

I have the red pair, and they are really comfortable but I have never dared leave the house with them, i.e. I wear them only at home. Which is why I have never seen any particular results, I suppose, as I actually live in a comparatively small flat *lol* and as you can imagine, I don't walk for hours. I wish I had waited a bit longer for that crazy-chic version.
