New York Street Beat: Wedge Ya Believe It?

Photobucket

Judging by these stylish tootsies spotted about town, the wedge trend doesn’t show signs of letting up anytime soon. And it’s a good thing – wedges are one of those rare style finds: high heels and comfort in one sturdy package. Dressed up for work in black leather or dressed down in cork and canvas for shopping Madison Ave., this workhorse goes the distance in high style – not high maintenance.

We’ve got our eyes on an ultra glam YSL pair at Bergdorf’s but as our taste says “champagne” our budget is most decidely beer. When scoping out more wallet-friendly alternatives, keep the look fresh in patent, gladiator-inspired straps, or electric-bright colors.

I'm not a huge fan of the wedge but I am oddly attracted to Christian Louboutin's gingham espadrille platforms, which are on sale right now at bluefly!!

I adore wedges! They are the only one reasonable and stylish decision while in megapolises!
