Taking Care Of Business

I'm fortunate that my job doesn't require a traditional Working Girl wardrobe. Coming of age in this heady time of shoulder pads, big hair, and Reeboks with scrunchy socks over your L'Eggs pantyhose, I can't help but cringe a little whenever I walk by the career section of my local department store.

But like everything else from the '80s career wear has gone chic...and cheap too. If you're like many out there pounding the pavement for a new job you'll need a interview outfit that means business. I found these options at Smart Bargains all for just $75!

(Suits by Jones New York, Sharango, & Anne Klein just leave the suntan L'Eggs at home please)

Winter Coats: Save or Steal?

As I've mentioned before on this blog I am completely obsessed with finding a new winter coat. Not just because I feel like it because I don't have one.

Realistically I know that a well made coat is worth investing in but the simple truth is I am broke. And cold. So in my search for cheapie outerwear I dug up the following "Save or Steal" options:

I told you about this J. Crew coat (left) before and I still think it's pretty neato but it's still near the $400 range. The Delia's coat (right)is $69.50 as is or $89.50 with thinsulate.

I love the idea of a bright magenta wool coat in a season where things get to get cold, dark, and drab. The Anne Klein coat on the left is so fab - to the tune of $350. Its Delia's counterpart is only $79.50.

I love the chic detailing of the Mackage on the left - sadly I don't have $600 burning a hole in my pocket. Enter Delia's once again. This Tristan Peacoat rings in at $89.50 leaving plenty of spare change left over for a cute hat and gloves.

A New Coat For Fall -- For Under $200 + $20 Off

Photobucket

Earlier this week I told you about a PayPal promotion that gives you $20 off a $50 purchase from Shoebuy.

Well, I'm happy to report that the deal isn't just for shoes. Smart Bargains is getting in on all the fun. Spend $75 with them and the offer still stands.

Since the number one thing on my shopping list for Fall is a new winter coat I've got outerwear on my mind. I found these beauties from DKNY, Tahari, and London Fog, and the prices are pretty great - all under $200 - not including the $20 coupon. You can find all of my picks here.

The nice thing is, Smart Bargains is more than just coats (Hey did I just quote a Burlington Coat Factory commercial from the 70s? Yikes!)

Shop them for deals on stuff for your guy, your kids, or your home.

It's all good.

Morning ladies -- aside from a strong cup o' joe in the a.m., nothing gets the ol' pulse racing like a good deal. So here's a quickie post to get you started.

Smart Bargains is having an incredible sale on designer shades -- My heart skipped a beat when I came across these Tom Ford shades, dunno if it's the caffeine or that they're marked down to $99 from $320!

Yep, the sale is that good. The only trick with Smart Bargains is you've got to be fast as quantities are limited.
