Mini Me: Cute Dresses I Want Right Now.

It's another unseasonably warm day in New York and I am completely bummed that I don't have the opportunity to sport my fabulous new winter coat. (yes, ladies and gentlemen: I FINALLY found a coat that I love, but more on that later!)

These cute mini dresses, all from Saks, would suit me just fine right now:

Equestrian Chic Without The Line At The Hermes Sample Sale

Photobucket

(photo via Racked)

Just because I am not hearty enough to skip work and wait on line 4 hours at the Metropolitan Pavilion for the privilege of buying a $1050 white button down shirt at the Hermes sample sale doesn't mean I can't appreciate a fine equestrian print or buttery leather belt from the purveyors of all things luxuriously French.

I just don't want the hassle.

That's why I was thrilled to come across this sleek Ralph Lauren blouse on sale:

Available at Bloomingdales for only $62.95, pushy sample sale line cutters not included.

New York Street Beat: Skirting The Issue

Photobucket

Slim is in.

But while celebs like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna have been seen shimmying about in Herve Leger the scene from the street is full, fun, and decidedly more feminine. These two ladies, both spotted in SoHo, represent an effortless chic style that is equally at ease in town or in the country.

We love how both let the skirt take center stage while keeping other accessories simple. Kim’s (left) statement necklace is in the same tone as her top, so it doesn’t compete with that bold graphic skirt from H&M. India’s (right) Steve Madden slides and Kate Spade bag are delightfully unfussy and elegant, lending a Grace Kelly air of sophistication.
