Cashmere. Cardigans. Hurry!

Photobucket

Have you la la'd yet?

Ooh, my sweet if you haven't you really must. I'm thrilled to see that Vince is being featured on the site today - their cashmere cardi's are available for 40 - 50% off - - yes even CURRENT collection stuff like the long slim ombre number that I've coveted since June.

What's that you say, you've never been to Rue La La, the online sample sale extravaganza that features designers like Prada, Gucci, Tahari, etc? That's okay, you need to know people to get in...but you know me! Drop me a line at kim at alwaysinstyle dot com and I'll send you an invite.

But hurry, quantities are limited and selling out fast!

Fashion Saves Lives, Really.

You may remember my love affair with Housing Works, mentioned here and here.

Well, here are a couple of highly mentionable updates:

The organization, whose proceeds benefit those living with HIV and AIDS, is holding a sample sale with over a million bucks worth of designer goodies in the hopes of raising $500K. There's also a swank party, Fashion For Action, which is being held at The Rubin Art Museum and hosted by Marc Jacobs.

The sale will be held at the store's Chelsea location at 143 West 17th Street from November 14 - 16th. Not a New Yorker? Don't fret. They've also updated their website to include "Buy It Now" items that your friendly neighborhood Fed Ex guy will happily dispatch.

There are tons of treasures that get updated daily but here are some of my favorites:

A Tom Ford designed Gucci dress that is perfect for the stylish, yet cash-strapped bride, a vintage Courreges bag that's equally chic with a tweed suit or jeans, and speaking of jeans, a pair of Sevens in a flattering wash and cut.

Find them, and all their BIN items at Shop Housing Works.

Get (Wolford) Tight

One of my favorite trends for fall is the fashiony-tight. If money were no object I would so get this Missoni pair priced at $150, down from $450:

But since money doesn't grow on trees, I think I could satisfy myself with these black lace-throwback-to-Madonna's-heyday version instead:

At a measly $20 (marked down from $45) I could throw in a pair of fingerless gloves as well. Wish I still had mine from the 80s.

Both by Wolford. Get them on Rue La La now until Friday. But hurry - quantities are limited and are sure to sell out!
