Ralph Lauren Fall 2008 Runway: Get The Look For Less

One of my favorite collections this Fall is by Ralph Lauren. Unfortunately, I’m not a member of the trust fund set so dropping $4500 on a jacket is out of the question for me.

Below are a few of my fave ensembles, and some inspired pieces that will help me get the look for less:

I'd prefer this in red, and it's still early in the season so I might hold off. This grey one from Delias is a nice substitute however.

I'm in desperate need of a new coat + I love the royal purple hues Ralph showed. This piece from J. Crew is pretty slick.

I've always loved a full length trumpet skirt. Newport News has them in both red and black for a mere $39!

I've noticed that Sir Ralph and I share an obsession for black crocodile this season. This BCBG clutch isn't bad for $99 at Smart Bargains.

America, Heck Yeah!

Photobucket

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 premieres today so I couldn't help but feature one of my favorite actresses, America Ferrera. Though I'm a wee bit old to fully appreciate the teen angsty stuff that I'm sure will occur in this flick, I do love America's style; her hair and makeup are always spot on and she manages to look equally fab in a pair of skinny jeans or a sexy strapless number.

I chose the latter look as my shopping inspiration and found these pieces to nab her red carpet style:

America's rocking moire beauty is by Brian Reyes, at the tune of $1700, it's tough for many of us to snag. This Lauren by Ralph Lauren Silk Dupioni dress available at Nordstrom is a mere $200.

The red soles reveal that America's peep toe pumps are la Louboutin, here's a more wallet friendly alternative courtesy of Jessica Simpson.

This fab patent belt will get lots of play, and at under $25 it's a Must-Have. Get it on Bluefly.
