Spoiler Alert: Shop Project Runway Winners Collection.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

If you don't want to know who won stop reading now. Here's something to keep you occupied.

The rest of you know that Leanne drove off into the sunset with her Saturn hybrid and $100K smackeroos - seemingly on her way to fashion design domination. Surprise, surprise.

She was a pretty clear favorite so the whole show was a bit anti-climactic to tell the truth but I am happy for her and look forward to seeing how she grows as a designer. On to the important news: you can now bid on all of the finalist's collections. In my previous post I said that one of Leanne's creations would top my list of must-haves. After last night? Uh-uh.

Korto & Kenley both hit it out of the park with their collections. Sure Leanne's were beautifully constructed but the colors were just eh and unless you are a size 0 would look pretty horrendous on most. K's & K's collections, on the other hand, showed more color, originality, and spirit. The two designs above have my name written all over them.

Agree, disagree? Let's hear it...and don't even think of outbidding me on these.

How'd ya like to have lunch with Jeff Koons? Maybe a cuppa java with Cai Guo-Qiang? Well, here's your chance. The Gap has teamed up with the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Art Production Fund to offer 13 limited edition t-shirts featuring images from popular contemporary artists. The tees are showcased gallery-style in Bryant Park, but only until this Thursday. If you can't make it in person, take a look at our Flickr album for a little slice of NYC.

Unfortunately, I couldn't track the cute tees online so get yourself to a local Gap to scope out the situation. The closest one to the Park is located on 42nd & Broadway.

Happy Stylish Earth Day!

DSC_0073DSC_0043

In commemoration of Earth Day us AIS gals ditched our Midtown digs and hit Bryant Park to reflect on Mother Nature and spend a luxurious lunch hour catching some rays and doing a little people-watching. (Purely RESEARCH we assure you!)

Turns out we weren’t alone in our jonesing for a little green; the Park was chock-full of stylish folks, some of whom you’ll see in upcoming New York Street Beats. In the meantime take a look at our Flickr page to see where Garment District fashionistas meet for lunch and gossip.

And since we’ve no intention of trading in our Manolos for a pair of Birkenstocks anytime soon, we were thrilled to stumble upon this website of eco-friendly wares that manages to blend high style and heartland brilliantly. Green with Glamour we’re officially hooked.
